A report on opinions of small island countries
toward Blue Economy and Blue Partnership

This report researched 23 small-island developing states (SIDS) including Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa, Niue, the Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea on their understanding of the “blue economy” concept and demand on development. It analyzed the status quo of the maritime industry in the aforementioned SIDS and challenges faced by them. At the end of the report, we put forward suggestions on how China and SIDS could cooperate on blue economy and blue partnership building.
