On April 22 and 23, the Grandview Institution accompanied a U.S. delegation led by former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen in official visits to the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association, and Vice Minister Ma Hui of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). The delegation also participated in a seminar organized by the IDCPC on “The Future of China–U.S. Relations in a Second Trump Administration.” Participants included Wang Fan, President of China Foreign Affairs University; Liu Qing, Vice President of the China Institute of International Studies; and Fu Xiaoqiang, Vice President of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations. Ren Libo, President of the Grandview Institution; Zhu Junwei, Director of the Grandview U.S. Center; and representatives from the UK-based crisis mediation organization Inter Mediate—Natasha Groom and Julian Chater—also joined the activities.
