On the morning of April 23, Rose Gottemoeller, former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security and former Deputy Secretary General of NATO, along with Admiral James O. Ellis Jr., former Commander of the United States Strategic Command, visited the Grandview Institution. They engaged in in-depth discussions with Chinese scholars on U.S.–China security strategies, nuclear strategy, and the current international security landscape.
Chinese participants included Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Center for Maritime Studies at the Grandview Institution; Zhou Bo, Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy, Tsinghua University; Fan Jishe, Deputy Director and Professor at the Institute of International Strategy, Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (National Academy of Governance); and Yi Wushuang, Research Fellow at the Grandview Institution’s Center for Maritime Studies.
