November 17, 2025, a delegation from the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, led by CEO Gary Cowan and Chair of the Advisory Board Marina Go, visited the Grandview Institution(GVI). They engaged in discussions with Ouyang Wei, Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee at GVI, Wu Hao, Director of the Defense Studies Center at GVI, and Mao Jing, Director of the European Studies Center at GVI on a range of issues, including China-Australia relations, the South China Sea, and the Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) security partnership.

Both sides acknowledged that China-Australia relations are now entering a phase of practical cooperation, where differences are not avoided but common ground is actively sought, driven by rationality and foresight to steadily advance the bilateral relationship.

The visiting delegation also included Advisory Board members Rowan Callick, Dr. Yin Cao, Dr. Wesa Chau, Dr. Courtney Fung, Mark McGowan, Wendy Huang, Richard McGregor, and Alice Pung, along with Julie-Anne Nichols, the Director of National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, and Assistant Director Elizabeth Abbott.

Accompanying the visit were Mark Sawers, Political Counsellor of the Australian Embassy in China; First Secretaries Oliver Mendoza and Alexander Chapman; and Research and Program Officer Mu Yu.
