GVI Visits Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Headquarters in Germany and Holds Discussions with Multiple Think Tanks and Political Party Representatives

On July 2, 2026, Grandview Institution (GVI) paid a visit to the headquarters of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Germany, where it held discussions with representatives from German think tanks, research institutions, and political parties. During the talks, participating experts engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including the evolving international landscape, adjustments to the global economic order, the development of China-Europe relations, and the respective roles of both sides in international affairs.

The German participants included Wolfgang Schmidt, former Head of the German Federal Chancellery; Philipp Fink, International Secretary of the Social Democratic Party of Germany; and representatives from the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH), the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), the Körber Foundation, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), and the Bundeskanzler Helmut Schmidt Stiftung. The Chinese delegation comprised Ren Libo, President of GVI; Mao Jing, Director of the European Studies Center at GVI; Zhao Long, Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS); and Zhang Xin, Deputy Director of the Center for Russian Studies at East China Normal University.
