On June 11–12, the delegation from the Grandview Institution, accompanied by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, held a series of meetings with representatives from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), the German Federal Foreign Office, the Berghof Foundation, the European Leadership Network (ELN), and other institutions. The discussions focused on a wide range of geopolitical and geo-economic topics, including the positioning of China–EU relations, the future trajectory of China–Germany relations, multipolarity and multilateralism, the Russia–Ukraine conflict, and China’s role in international conflict mediation.
More than 40 representatives participated in the dialogues, including Volker Stanzel, former German Ambassador to China; Angela Stanzel, SWP researcher; Nadine Godehardt, Deputy Director of SWP’s Asia Research Division; Sarah Zielonka, Policy Officer for China Affairs at the German Federal Foreign Office; Oliver Meier, Director of Policy Research at the European Leadership Network; Janel Galvanek, Head of the Peace Support Department at the Berghof Foundation; Theresa Breitmaier, Senior Program Manager for Afghanistan and South Asia Department; and Christian Schubert, Vice President of BASF Group Germany.
Chinese representatives included Ren Libo, President of the Grandview Institution; Wu Hao, Senior researcher; Mao Jing, Director of the Center for European Studies; Zhang Xin, Professor of East China Normal University; and Zhao Long, Researcher at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies.
