On the afternoon of 21 May, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung led a delegation in discussions with experts from Grandview Institution and faculty and students from Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Tsinghua University, and other institutions on topics including the future development of China-Europe relations, the European security architecture in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, and the impact of new media on current political affairs.
Members of the German delegation included Johann Fuhrmann, Chief Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Beijing Office; Nadine Godehardt and Annegret Bendiek, Senior Researchers at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP); Miriam Kosmehl, Eastern Europe Expert at the Bertelsmann Stiftung; and Janis Mandic, Project Manager at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Chinese experts included Shi Yinhong, Member of the Academic Committee of Grandview Institution and Professor at the School of International Relations, Renmin University of China; Cui Hongjian, Professor at the Institute of Regional and Global Governance, Beijing Foreign Studies University; Wu Hao, Senior Researcher at Grandview Institution; and Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Marine Research Centre at Grandview Institution.
