Mr. Pirpiran said, China and Iran are both ancient civilizations with a long history of friendship. In recent years, although the international situation has become increasingly complex and the geopolitical risks continue to escalate, Sino-Iranian relations have not been affected. The two countries’ relations have withstood the test of all kinds of international climates. With the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership announced in 2016, Sino-Iranian relations have entered a new era. However, there is still a long way to go. Iran used to play an important role in the historical Silk Road and now hopes to deepen cooperation with China in all aspects of economy, trade, and culture by taking advantage of the highly complementary economies of the two countries, Iran's rich oil and gas resources, and its favorable geographic location.
