GVI Delegation Visits Japanese Communist Party Vice Chairman

On the 9th of April, the delegation from the GIV went to the Headquarter of the Japanese Communist Party, and visited the Party’s Vice Chairman Yasuo Ogata, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee Minoru Tagawa. Both parties had a thorough discussion on topics pertaining to Sino-Japanese relations and Sino-American relations.

 

Mr. Yasuo Ogata presented A Proposal Regarding How to Improve Sino-Japanese Relations as Soon as Possible” submitted by Kazuo Shiva, Head of the Committee of the Japanese Communist Party, to the Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Mr. Ogata said that currently, this proposal has gained the support of the former President of the Liberal Democratic Party Kono Yohei, the former Director Toshihiro Nikai and Makoto Koga. Mr. Ogata points out, even though the political ideologies of the Japanese Communist Party and the Liberal Democratic Party are inherently different, however, both parties agree that Japan should improve its relationship with China.

 

On the 9th of April, the delegation from the GVI also paid a visit to Hiroshi Yokoi and Yuji Miyamoto, both served as the former Japanese Ambassador to China. Together, they discussed thoroughly on topics regarding the circumstances on which Sino-Japanese relationship can be improved and formulated plans on how to improve Sino-Japanese relations.
